Included in the 6 Player Hurlingham Croquet Set are six 36" mallets, made from selected hardwoods, brass bound and turned to a traditional cylindrical shape with an inlaid sighting line. The brass rings are both beautiful and functional, each having been screwed firmly in place to eliminate the chances of edge splitting caused by off center shots. This is a traditional style mallet, perfectly weighted for garden play, with an average weight of 2lbs 14oz. The 6 Player Hurlingham Set comes with a set of six Pro-16 balls. Perfect for garden croquet and club level, each ball tips the scales at 16 oz and is sized to tournament specifications at 3 5/8". These balls have two directions of perpendicular milling and are beautifully crafted, consistent and robust. The six powder coated wickets are made from 1/2" tubular steel with a solid 5/8th cross bar and have a smooth, hard-wearing finish. Center stakes are turned from hardwood and come in six colours; blue, red, black & yellow, green and white, each having a removable pin so that the peg can be knocked into the court without being damaged. The handmade pine box is elegantly appointed with substantial break back hinges, steel latches, ornate metal corner plates and enforced rope carrying handles.
