Warm in VermontMar 04, 2012

My 7 month old would wake up multiple times cold in his fleece sleep sack; despite buying fancy thermals and trying other layering systems. Our house fluctuates temperatures depending on if we wake up to stoke up the wood stove and how varied the temperatures are from day to night. I would frequently bring him in our bed to keep him warm. The first night in his merino sleep sack he only woke up once to feed. My husband, who initially scoffed at the price but thought it was well made when he first saw it, now sings its praise. This should be on the baby registery for all new parents!

This is the second sleep sack I have purchased from Merino Kids, and I can't say enough good things about these. The outside shell is very soft on baby's skin, and the embroidered design is even soft and nicely detailed (the picture doesn't even do it justice). There is a cute black sheep on the botton left of the sleep sack embroidered amongst all the colored ones, and a single black sheep embroidered on the back.My 11 month old has been wearing his sleep sack every night for several months and he is always perfectly warm (not hot) even though he is in the coldest room in the house. As soon as we put it on him, he knows it is time for sleep and settles right down. These are easy to wash, and dry flat in less than 24 hours. I am glad we have a back up now. Very much worth the price tag!
