Safe for Backyard Chickens and DogsMar 07, 2011

We have backyard chickens so mice and rats go with the territory of having grain and coops around. Then there is the dogs too. We found the Nooski here on Amazon and are really pleased with it. The chickens cant get hurt like they can with snap traps etc and the dogs definitely cant get hurt. Both the rat and mouse traps are great. What an invention.

Im not sure how anyone could disagree when I say this is the best invention since sliced bread. Rat Snap traps are dangerous, like really dangerous so I dont want them anywhere near my family or pets. Just load one of these us with peanut butter and away you go. Then just safely, yes safely, reload and get another one. You dont feel gross touching this trap either as it seems like the rats kindof shoot out of it once they are caught, at least thats what it looks like because I find them laying just outside of the trap. Ive been laying down some newspaper first in the areas I put them out. Then I just scoop up the paper and dead rat together and blam! I never have to touch the dead critter. Like I said this thing is the shiz.

I bought this to help get rid of chipmunks in my garden. They are digging up the garden, and they are also stealing the bait from my Havahart 1078 Live Animal Professional Style One-Door Rabbit, Skunk, Mink, and Squirrel Cage Trap. So far I have to say that when the trap goes off there is a dead chipmunk.
This leaves me with a dead animal that I do not need to drive anywhere or do in myself. It is much cleaner than a snap trap and it is a lot easier to load. My fingers are a lot safer vs snap traps as are neighborhood cats.
At first I was not catching the chipmunks I expected, but when I switched from gummy bears to peanut butter things got a lot better. This has caused me to bump the trap up to five stars.
